Résumé

Notice audio ou vidéo issue d Europeana pour la démo du fonds documentaire. Extended description: This edited extract from an oral history interview with Janet and John Lurcook, recorded in 2009 covers the couple's involvement in the Sevenoaks Cine Society, a Kent-based amateur film-making group, during the 1950s. This short film combines interview footage with relevant archive material from the Sevenoaks Cine Society collection. Here John recounts how the Sevenoaks Cine Society made use of various locations around Sevenoaks for the making of their films. This included filming at Sevenoaks train station and Knole Park in the making of 'Hikers Haunt' (1950). In the making of the film 'It Goes Like This' (1953) the Society made use of a room at a local hotel as their 'studio' to create a family breakfast scene and the local cricket ground as a stand-in for a race course, with passers-by brought in as 'extras'.
